Customer Appreciation Days

What in the world is Customer Appreciation Days at Everett’s Gardens?! Well, I’m glad you asked! We broke it down into two main categories: Plants and Community.

Plants

“Cream of the Crop” Plant Selections

What does “Cream of the Crop” even mean? Well, unlike many other gardens, our owners are able to hand select from a variety of gorgeous plants. One of our owners, Brian Diemer, delved into the plant nurseries this summer where he searched for tree structure, character, color and overall significance, when deciding which plants were best for our customers. Let’s just say, he nailed! We have outstanding dwarf conifers, specimen trees and new plant varieties that we’ve never had before! If you haven’t walked through our gardens before, now is a great time to do it!

Designers and Plant Specialists on Site

Not only do we have a “Cream of the Crop” plant selection, but we have the experts to help guide you along the way. Whether it be choosing the right plant, drainage issues, plant diagnosis questions or more, we have the knowledgeable staff to help. During Customer Appreciation Days, both our Everett’s Gardens team and Everett’s Landscape Designers/Maintenance Sales Team are available on-site!

BIG End of the Year Plant Sales

Stock up on your favorite perennials, flowering shrubs, shade trees and more! This is a great time to get your entire landscape/garden project done! Not only are most of the plants on sale, but it’s the BEST time to plant!

Stay Tuned! Right before Customer Appreciation Days, we’ll drop some of our sales for the event on social media. (Stay Tuned Here – Instagram & Facebook)

Fall is for Planting!

Did you know that fall is actually the best time to plant. But why? Here are a few of the reasons:

  • Cooler temperatures: Fall weather in West Michigan is typically cooler, which is ideal for newly planted trees and shrubs. The cooler temperatures allow plants to establish their roots without the stress of extreme heat.
  • More consistent rainfall: Fall in West Michigan tends to bring more consistent rainfall, which helps newly planted trees and shrubs establish strong root systems. This reduces the need for frequent watering and helps plants thrive.
  • Less competition from weeds: In the fall, many weeds are starting to die off, which means less competition for nutrients and space for newly planted trees and shrubs. This gives them a better chance of establishing themselves without being crowded out by weeds.
  • Great time for root growth: In the fall, plants focus on growing their roots rather than putting energy into above-ground growth. This allows plants to establish strong, healthy root systems that will support their growth in the following seasons.

Community

Our way to say THANK YOU! If you’re not a customer, today’s a great day to be!

  • Everett’s Landscape, Everett’s Gardens parent company, was established in 1956. Building relationships quickly became the mantra for Everett’s. Everett would service customer needs whether that was washing windows, mowing lawns, bringing groceries inside or moving furniture. If there was a need, Everett was there! Today, we still hold true to those deeply instilled core values. In 2018, we opened our retail location, Everett’s Gardens, where we could service all of our plant lovers.
  • Since 1956, we have had some of the best customers. We even service some of those same customers and their friends/families, all these years later! One of the ways we like to give back is through Customer Appreciation Days. It’s a time where we invite all customers to hangout, eat a free meal, plays games and enjoy the outdoor gardens together. There’s nothing better than reconnecting with our people and to say ‘thank you’, in person, for your trust in our company.
  • Whether you’re an Everett’s Landscape customer, Everett’s Gardens customer or not a customer yet, we want to build those relationships! We invite you to join our Everett’s family and what better time than now?!

Family Friendly Atmosphere

  • Each year our gnomes go missing! We ask for all the kids help to find them and bring them back to safety! It’s a fun interactive game for the children to search around the gardens in hopes of finding them and winning a big prize! So, if children are attending with you, tell them to keep an eye out for those pesky gnomes!
  • BOUNCE HOUSE. This year we have a bounce house all three days. It’s perfect for letting your kids play while you shop plants.
  • FREE FOOD. We’ll be grilling hotdogs, burgers, and brats for lunch and dinner. So, make sure you come hungry and bring your friends.
  • We will have a coffee truck on-site the entire event. Yum!!
