A flamboyant new spring-flowering shrub, featuring rosy-pink trumpet-shaped flowers held over deep wine-colored foliage, attracts hummingbirds; a relatively compact shrub, ideal for garden detail use; needs full sun


Shadblow Serviceberry

Amelanchier canadensis

A naturally beautiful small tree, ideal for small home landscapes; masses of showy white flowers in spring, edible berries in June, and amazing fall color add up to a versatile landscape plant


Village Green Zelkova

Zelkova serrata ‘Village Green’

A close relative of the elm, a tall shade tree with a shapely, rounded habit, interesting peeling bark and good fall color; quite hardy, low maintenance and trouble-free, an excellent choice for street plantings or larger landscapes


Chicagoland Green Boxwood

Buxus ‘Glencoe’

A compact and hardy hybrid boxwood, great for pruning and shaping or for use as a trimmed hedge; if unpruned, grows more wide than tall, a broadleaf evergreen with numerous landscape applications
