Green Mountain Sugar Maple

A choice and very popular selection of sugar maple with thick dark green foliage and rich gold fall color; a large tree with a formal shape, excellent for most landscapes; adaptable to soils, but dislikes air pollution and compaction
River Birch
Betula nigra
A prize native birch valued for its stunning bark, with white, brown and tan colors all peeling from mature trunks; good fall color; requires acidic soil, susceptible to chlorosis in alkaline soils
Dawyck Gold Beech
Fagus sylvatica ‘Dawyck Gold’
An incredible accent tree with smooth gray bark and early gold foliage that matures to bright green throughout the season, a most stately specimen; quite particular about growing conditions, requires rich soil and significant moisture
Tuliptree
Liriodendron tulipifera
One of the tallest native trees of eastern North America, features uniquely shaped leaves and large yellow tulip-shaped flowers which are hard to see because of the height of the tree; needs lots of moisture and room to grow, not for small properties

A beautiful and artistic shade tree with a picturesque loosely pyramidal habit of growth and good red fall color; fast growing for an oak, an extremely tough and adaptable tree, best for larger landscapes; prefers loose, slightly acidic Soils
