2025 Perennial of the Year

‘Jack of Diamonds’ Heartleaf Brunnera

Brunnera macrophylla

Huge 9-10″ leaves overlap dramatically at the base and look circular from a distance. Heavy silver overlay and vivid, wide, dark green veining pattern. Baby blue, forget-me-not type blossoms.

2025 Hosta of the Year

Shadowland® ‘MiSs America ‘

Hosta hybrid

A majestic hosta that will capture your heart. Medium green, heart-shaped leaves and white centers and light green streaking. Near white flowers with a lavender pattern.

2025 Landscape Perennial of the Year

‘Cat’s Meow’ Catmint

Nepeta faassenii

No catmint is a more beautiful, uniform grower than Cat’s Meow Nepeta. Its flowers are dense and colorful, and its habit is more refined. Plus, it stands strong with no flopping, getting wider and growing to a broad mound as the season progresses.

2025 Flowering Shrub of the Year

Scentara® Double Blue Lilac

Syringa x hyacinthiflora

Tie your shoes tight – the fragrance of this lilac will knock your socks off! The cool purple blooms take on a blue tone in the spring sunshine, each one full of petals for a delicate seashell-like effect. This very heavy bloomer exhibits excellent disease resistant and a handsome, appealing shape that will look right at home in your landscape. Available in better garden centers in 2019.

2025 Rose of the Year

Reminiscent® Coral Rose

Rosa x

Reminiscent® Coral rose boasts blousy, bowl-shaped flowers with deep pink-coral tones and an appealing copper center. Dark green foliage accents the flowers and stays clean and healthy through the season. Deadheading not required for continuous blooms.

2025 Hydrangea of the Year

Little Lime Punch® Panicle Hydrangea

Hydrangea paniculata

You’ll be drinking in the beauty Little Lime Punch® hydrangea serves up all season long. Similar to Little Lime®, its blooms emerge lime green, but they mature a little differently. Flowers change progressively from the bottom up in a gorgeous array of white, light pink, and rich Hawaiian Punch red! As it reblooms throughout the summer you’ll see these four colors mix to create a truly memorable show. With a compact habit and strong stems, you’ll find that it’s as useful in the landscape as it is beautiful.

2025 Landscape Shrub of the Year

North Pole® Arborvitae

Thuja occidentalis

Narrow upright columnar habit is perfect for narrow sites as a specimen or screen. Little care is needed. Evergreen. Hardy, resists winter burn. Excellent landscape plant.

2025 Tree of the Year

Show Time Crabapple

Malus x

The large, densely-clustered fuchsia red flowers turn the branches into columns of lush color. Deep green foliage has red tones of its own, especially as it emerges. In fall, red fruits glisten among the bright orange and red leaves.
